Ортодонтия - область стоматологии, которая занимается выравниванием зубов и исправлением прикуса. Более 90% людей имеют нарушения прикуса или неровные зубы, чаще всего нуждающиеся в лечении, так как зубные аномалии представляют собой многие нарушения: несоответствие размеров верхней и нижней челюсти, неправильная форма зубных дуг, вредные привычки, неправильное глотание, дыхание ртом, нарушения функций языка и губ.
Причин для таких аномалий целое множество.
